Sholazar Basin es una jungla tropical en el medio oeste de Northrend, al norte de Borean Tundra y al sur de Icecrown.
El clima templado y la seguridad de esta zona contra el Azote se mantiene gracias a unos pilares, obra de los Titanes. Sin embargo, recientemente, uno de esos pilares, localizado en el este, ha caído y el Azote ha visto su oportunidad de invadir la selva desde Icecrown en el norte y están concentrándose para atacar en The Avalanche.
